## About the Archive

This directory maintains immutable, dated snapshots of the WeitmanHouse Homelab & Cloud Infrastructure Progress Journal.

As significant project milestones, architectural shifts, and operational transitions occur, a snapshot is frozen and archived here. Historical snapshots preserve the exact operational context, design decisions, and status as documented on that date, ensuring long-term technical accountability without rewriting history retrospectively.

## Versioning and Governance Policy

1. **Immutability**: Once an archive checkpoint is published, its contents are frozen. Minor typographical adjustments or formatting corrections may be noted, but factual representations of status and decisions remain unchanged.
2. **Authoritative Source**: The public progress journal and its archive are derived from the private WeitmanServer operational master documentation (`P520-Master.md`). All sensitive credentials, tokens, internal IP topology, and private filesystem paths are scrubbed in accordance with our public security boundaries.
3. **Evidence Distinction**: Every checkpoint strictly distinguishes **Completed** work (verified by system checks and logs), **In Progress / Planned** work (staged or scheduled), and **Paused / Unverified** work (held for review).
